Spirit Awards and New Board Members Elected at 2025 Membership Meeting

There was a beautiful spirit of connection and celebration at Unity on the Bay’s Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, April 13, 2025, as members of our beloved spiritual community came together in love, gratitude, and shared purpose. It was a special time to reflect on all we’ve accomplished together over the past year, guided by the heartfelt leadership of our Board President, Steve McCoy, and Senior Minister, Rev. Juan del Hierro.

They shared inspiring updates on the health of our ministry — spiritually, financially, and communally — reminding us that Unity on the Bay continues to thrive because of the dedication and generosity of its people.

Three special awards were presented:

  • The Spirit of Generosity Award to Joanna Ramirez

  • The Spirit of Leadership Award to Kevin Moran

  • The Spirit of Service Award to the Prayer Chaplain Team (pictured above)

Members also voted to elect two new board members, welcoming Edith Deak and Charles Wilkerson to serve and lead in the coming years. And with deep gratitude, we blessed both Steve McCoy and Israel Sosa as they completed their terms on the Board of Trustees, honoring their wisdom, love, and faithful service.

It was truly a day that celebrated not only where we’ve been but the bright and bold future we are co-creating together.
